United States Youth Conservation Corps Summer Employment Opportunity

Are you between the ages of 15 and 18?  Do you want a summer job?  You might consider the YCC 2020 Summer Program with the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument.  This summer, the Youth Conservation Corps is sponsoring this eight-week program for youth ages 15 to 18.  The program will run from June 15, 2020 to August 11, 2020. This is full time employment for the summer, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.  The program consists of learning the day to day operations of a National Park Service Park and hands on experience working with different divisions within the park.  Contact information and applications below:

District Annual Report (Division 22)

By January 15 of each year, the Superintendent presents the District’s Annual Report. The purpose of the report is to a ssure compliance with Oregon Administrative Rules Chapter 581, Division 22, as to the Standards for Public elementary and Secondary Schools with the exception of development of a written district Talent and Gifted procedure.

Parent Request Form for Information about Teacher Qualifications

Any parent who has a child attending any school receiving Title I funds may request and receive, in a timely manner, information regarding the professional qualifications of the student’s classroom teachers.  In addition, the parents may also ask whether the child is provided services by a paraprofessional and, if so, his or her qualifications [Section 1111(6)(A) ESEA.] Download the attached form to request:

2016 District Annual Report

By January 15 of each year, the Superintendent presents the District’s Annual Report. The purpose of the report is to assure compliance with Oregon Administrative Rules Chapter 581, Division 22, as to the Standards for Public elementary and Secondary Schools. The Annual Report also provides a venue to summarize District progress in meeting annual goals, operational activities, and challenges.

This year’s report summarizes the results of the 2015-2016 school year and activities currently underway as of December 30, 2015

District's Immunization Rate 100%

Twice each year the district is to share local area and the school's rate of vaccinations. In all vaccinations: DTaP/Tdap, Polio, Varicella, Measles, Mumps/Rubella, HepB and HepA the school was at a 100% immunization rate and Wheeler County was at 97%.
